SJS OCEAN & DIVE CLUB

The SJS Ocean & Dive Club’s main goal is to develop a team of Ocean enthusiasts and underwater explorers that want to develop they knowledge and skills to enjoy the ocean at its best, simultaneously promoting environmental awareness focused on the ocean ecosystems preservation, care and sustainability.

Besides S.C.U.B.A. diving and Freediving initial and continuous education courses, the SJS Ocean & Dive Club’s also pretends to organize activities and trips that provide new experiences and develop individual and group connection with the ocean.

Open to students, school staff and parents, it presents a unique opportunity for develop relationships and built bridges base on the common passion for the ocean and underwater activities.

After a great and enthusiastic first year, where 8 (eight) new divers where certified and already start diving regularly, students and families together, the second-year project is to expand the reach of the Club, including new activities including: exciting thematic visits, new field activities and, of course, lots off dive opportunities, for both certified and non certified divers.

For the newcomers, beside all activities and marvellous ocean experiences, we will develop diving knowledge and skills and attain the international SSI OPEN WATER DIVER certification, that allows to dive autonomously until 18 m. For the more experienced ones, already certified as Open Water Divers, the goal is to reach the SSI ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER Certification, expanding limits and exploring new frontiers.
